Program Description:
The University of Sussex Summer School has a long history of welcoming international student. Last year students from over 30 countries studied at the Summer School. We offer courses in a variety of areas including, but not limited to Global Studies, Business and Management, Engineering and Informatics, Life Sciences, English Literature, History and Philosophy, Law, Mathematics, Media & Film, Physics and Psychology. Our modules (courses) are designed and delivered by Sussex faculty, and aim to inspire you academically. From the end of June to mid-August, you can study for three or six weeks. Students take one course per three week session, allowing you to earn credits towards your degree or to experiment with something new.

The University of Sussex is an internationally renowned institution, with an environmental award winning campus which is surrounded by the fields and woods of Stanmer Park. The beautiful campus is on the edge of Brighton; a lively, friendly city on the south coast of England which is less than an hour by train from London. With excellent transport links and Gatwick airport closeby, you will have the chance to explore the UK and Europe during weekends. You will live and learn with students from around the world. While highly rated academic modules are the core of the summer school experience, you are also encouraged to take part in an exciting social programs that include events on campus and in and around Brighton. The summer school team also offers support for those seeking to travel elsewhere in Europe; all designed to help you make the most of this opportunity to explore a different academic and cultural environment.
 
During the summer, you’ll stay in the brand new East Slope residence in the heart of campus. Rooms are single occupancy with a mix of ensuite rooms and bedrooms with shared bathrooms. Accommodation does not include dining hall access, but you can buy groceries from the supermarket on campus. You’ll share a fully furnished kitchen with other students living in your building. 
 
A weekly meal allowance is included in the program fee, which can be redeemed in any Sussex Food establishment on campus, if you don’t feel like cooking. The Student Union bars also offer a variety of food and drink at student-friendly prices!
